Dr. Ana Hocevar finished her PhD in physics in 2012 at the University of Ljubljana before becoming a Beverly and Raymond Sackler postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Studies in Physics and Biology at the Rockefeller University. Her past work has focused on understanding biomechanical processes in early embryonic fruit fly development and more recently she has been interested in neural processes involved in vision, more specifically she has been studying the face recognition system in the primate brain. Currently she is involved in the development and implementation of the dolphin touchscreen at the Baltimore National Aquarium.
