Video tracking systems are currently being implemented in conjunction with a multiple hydrophone array to monitor the vocalization and behavior of the animals. One of the greatest difficulties in studying groups of dolphins is being able to localize the sound being produced to the animal producing the sound. It is vital to determine which animal is producing the vocalization so that the associated behaviors can be studied the determine their significance. Triangulation of sound is done through the use of algorithms that determine location from the multiple points at which the sound is recorded
